1. Is there any changes to the rules & regulations of the 17th NIVAQ 2018 as compared to the previous ones?
Yes, there are:
- Semi Final Round: Changes to the mark allocation.
- Final Round: There will only be 1 case study question and the 5 finalists will be presenting the same question. Wi-Fi usage is disallowed and only 1 laptop can be used for the purpose of designing your presentation slides.
*Please refer to the original copy of the rules & regulations. You are advised to only study the rules & regulations of the 17th NIVAQ 2018 to avoid confusions.
2. Is there anything to take note on during the Qualifying Round?
You will need pen or pencil to shade your answers on the OMR forms provided. Mobile devices and programmable calculator are not allowed during this round. Lastly, please be in the examination venue 5 minutes early before this round starts.
3. Can I use mobile devices during the Semi Final Round?
No. You may only bring along your financial calculator or scientific calculator to the stage. We will only provide you with pens and paper during the Semi Final Round.
4. What should I do if I find out that my team's buzzer is not functioning during the Semi Final Round?
(E.g. no light indicator on the buzzer)
Please raise up your hand if there is a problem with your buzzer. Our committee will then provide you with further assistance. If the Quiz Master is still reading the question, kindly raise up your hand only after the Quiz Master has finished the readings.
5. Will Wi-Fi access be given during the Final Round?
Participants are disallowed to use Wi-Fi to search for any information during this round. Reading materials either in softcopy or hardcopy are also not allowed.
6. Are diploma students allowed to participate in the 17th N-IVAQ?
Yes, diploma students are allowed to participate even though the level of this quiz is from degree to professional paper level. As long as your course has covered the subjects as per stated in the Rules & Regulations, we welcome all diploma students to participate in this quiz.
7. What is the level of the 17th N-IVAQ?
The 17th N-IVAQ will be based on the level of degree up till the professional papers level
8. Will the Qualifying Round, Semi-final Round and Final Round be held at the same location?
No, the Qualifying Round will be held at Multimedia University, Melaka Campus while the Semi-final & Final Round will be held at Seri Negeri, Melaka. For further information, please refer to the “All You Need” booklet for the maps of these two locations.
9. Will there be any accommodation or food provided during the 17th N-IVAQ?
No accommodation is provided and only light refreshments is served on Day 1 and lunch on Day 2 of N-IVAQ
10. Will transportation be provided during the 17th N-IVAQ?
No.
11. Are stationeries provided during the 17th N-IVAQ?
No, all participants are required to bring their own stationeries for this quiz.
12. What must I take note on during the registration of the 17th N-IVAQ?
We require all participants to bring their IC, student identification card or any relevant documents for registration purposes. International students may use their passport to register themselves.
